Launching Thursday, 8 May, 8am - 2pm, Brisbane City Markets brings its signature vibrancy to the city’s newest destination — Fan Land is returning to Queen’s Wharf Brisbane for its second year—and it’s set
Destination Brisbane Consortium (DBC) has announced the appointment of Justin Casey as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead strategy and Premium accommodation at Queen’s Wharf with stylish residential & short stay apartments offering river, park, and skyline views.... Raising the bar for refreshing drinks, captivating sunsets and tall stories.... With flavours spanning the globe, from tempting Western to Asian menus.... But that's not all—three more hotels are planned for the precinct, with The Ritz-Carlton, the Dorsett and the Rosewood all set to bring serious luxury to the city.
Now taking booking from 30 October, this rooftop spot will be all about Queesland dry-aged beef and seafood, plus plenty of locally sourced, seasonal produce, all cooked up on the grill or over a wood fire. Joining Cicadu Blu on Sky Deck is Babblers, Brisbane’s new go-to for all-day dining, with a menu that kicks off from 7am for breakfast in the sky and continues right through until the evening with dinner until late. Boasting a fresh new Mediterranean feel, you can now dine on incredible seafood as well well as their signature steaks, with the likes of king fish crudo and cheesy lobster mornay joining iconic dishes like their signature meatbals and steak tartare. Bonus, the sleek space also boasts panoramic river views, an expansive dancefloor and comfy lounges when you're ready to rehydrate with a cocktail or two.
Head Chef Zac Sykes will helm the kitchen, offering a custom menu complemented by cocktails featuring Latin American spirits and Asian spices. This project will bring a Latin American-inspired venue with Asian fusion elements to The Terrace at The Star Brisbane. Originally slated for a late 2022 opening, the project’s timeline was extended due to COVID-19 related setbacks, pushing the date first to 2023, then to April 2024, and finally to August 29. The highly anticipated Queen’s Queen's Wharf Brisbane development, a transformative project for Brisbane, is officially set to open its doors on August 29. "We have a responsibility to our community, our guests and our team members to be better and provide the safest environment possible across the entire business." "LiveWire will be one of our first venues to open, supporting and enhancing the growth of Brisbane’s nighttime entertainment economy," Mr Finch said.
Soaring 100 metres above the Brisbane River, the rooftop space features spectacular restaurants and bars where locals and visitors meet, celebrate, or simply soak in the breathtaking views. It is also home to a multi-million dollar collection of public artworks including a stunning golden sculpture by world recognised artist Lindy Lee. A growing list of restaurants and bars across the precinct including Sky Deck and The Terrace, where the pedestrian bridge connects to the city, are under final fit outs and will open progressively. Future stages will introduce even more luxury accommodations and retail experiences, with opening dates for the Dorsett and Rosewood hotel towers, Velo Café, and high-end retail outlets to be announced in the coming months. The Star Entertainment Group announced on 5 April 2016 share sale facilities that provided eligible small shareholders the opportunity to sell their shares without incurring any brokerage or handling costs.
Set to open in September this year, Lúc Lắc will be dishing up flavours inspired by Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore in a lush, indoor-outdoor setting with a maximalist aesthetic that throws together floral fabrics, animal prints, dining booths and a stunning jade onyx stone bar at the centre of it all. As a business, The Star is ahead of many in our industry in terms of diversity and inclusion, but there’s still a lot to do. In all seriousness, though, I was really honoured to be nominated and a finalist. Witnessing allies and LGBTQI+ members who embraced their identity with openness and pride inspired me to be true to myself. The Leisure Deck features an Event Deck, expansive lawn area for sunset picnics and exclusive resort amenities overlooking the city skyline. An iconic Brisbane destination like no other, the precinct blends stunning contemporary architecture with thoughtfully restored heritage buildings, and beautifully curated landscaped riverside parklands across more than 12 hectares on Brisbane’s river edge. On the art front, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane has announced "Sheila," a five-metre-high, five-tonne bronze sculpture by Brisbane artist Justene Williams, as part of its $3.6 billion public art offering.
